The booking system calculates the deposit using a fixed amount plus a percentage of the frozen rental total. Always rely on the exact deposit displayed in the checkout summary for your vehicle and dates.
Refundable deposit required

The deposit remains separate from the rental price and does not purchase insurance or create a maximum liability limit.

The exact amount is calculated and presented for the selected vehicle, rental period and confirmed booking conditions.
No deposit under normal conditions
€0 standard deposit
No-deposit status applies under the normal eligibility, use and risk information declared during booking.
Important: a changed driver, undisclosed information, added cross-border use, a requested vehicle-category change or an objective identity or payment concern may require a revised condition. Any applicable change must be explained and confirmed.
Insurance and protection
Know the difference between mandatory insurance and contractual protection
Mandatory third-party liability insurance
Every rental includes the basic third-party liability insurance required for road use, subject to the policy, territorial limits, exclusions and applicable law.
- It covers eligible liability toward third parties.
- It does not automatically cover damage to or theft of the rental vehicle.
- It does not replace the accident procedure or the renter’s contractual duties.
Optional contractual protection
Extra Protection or another protection arrangement applies only when it is expressly selected, paid where applicable and confirmed in the booking or Rental Agreement.
- Extra Protection limits responsibility for covered accidental exterior damage to a maximum of €600 per incident unless another amount is confirmed.
- Full Protection, when expressly offered and confirmed, limits covered responsibility to €300 per incident unless stated otherwise.
- Protection is not full casco or unconditional all-risk insurance.
Common exclusions include unauthorized drivers, unlawful or impaired driving, prohibited or off-road use, unauthorized cross-border travel, missing accident documents, interior damage, tyres, wheels, glass, mirrors, roof, underbody, clutch, keys and misuse-related damage. Payment and cancellation
Confirm the booking with the method and conditions shown for your order
Payment
Unless another condition is shown or confirmed in writing, the minimum booking prepayment is 20% of the rental amount. The remaining rental price is payable before or at handover according to the confirmation.
- Visa and Mastercard online payment may be available.
- PayPal or card through PayPal carries the 5% processing fee displayed by the booking system.
- Bank transfer, cash or another method applies only when displayed or confirmed.
- A physical POS terminal is not guaranteed unless expressly confirmed.
Cancellation and no-show
The prepayment reserves vehicle capacity for the selected dates. If the client cancels a confirmed booking, it is normally non-refundable unless the booking states a different policy, Auto Rent Teqja agrees otherwise, the company cannot supply the service, or mandatory law requires a refund.
- A no-show may lead to cancellation and retention of the prepayment.
- Invalid documents, unmet driver conditions or refusal of a confirmed amount may be treated as a no-show.
- The standard 14-day withdrawal right does not normally apply to dated car-rental services.
After the vehicle is returned
How the refundable deposit is checked and released
- Step 1Vehicle return
Return the vehicle at the confirmed time and location with the agreed fuel, equipment and documents.
- Step 2Inspection
The vehicle, mileage, fuel, equipment and any reported incident are checked against the handover record.
- Step 3Known liabilities
Documented damage, missing items, excess mileage, fuel, fines, cleaning or other unpaid obligations may be applied.
- Step 4Release or refund
The remaining balance is released or refunded without undue delay. Card-authorisation timing may also depend on the client’s bank.

Clear answers before payment
Is the security deposit part of the rental price?
No. The refundable security deposit is separate from the rental price and the amount paid. The exact deposit for the selected package is shown during checkout.
Does the Unlimited Package always have no deposit?
The normal rule is a €0 standard deposit. A revised condition may apply only when material information or risk changes after confirmation, such as a driver change, added cross-border use or an objective identity or payment concern.
Does basic insurance cover damage to the rental car?
Not automatically. Mandatory third-party liability insurance concerns eligible liability toward third parties. Damage to the rental vehicle is governed by the confirmed protection option, exclusions and Rental Agreement.
How much is Extra Protection liability?
When Extra Protection is selected and confirmed, responsibility for covered accidental exterior damage is limited to a maximum of €600 per incident unless the booking states another amount. Exclusions and required accident procedures still apply.
When is the deposit returned?
The remaining balance is released or refunded without undue delay after inspection and verification of known liabilities. A bank may need additional processing time to release a card authorization.
Is the booking prepayment refundable after cancellation?
Normally it is non-refundable, unless a different policy was stated for the booking, Auto Rent Teqja agrees otherwise, the service cannot be supplied, or mandatory law requires a refund.
